just about every work of art receives criticism, otherwise it most likely wouldn’t be art.
Seth Godin (yes, I’m a fan) had a publish on his blog Friday that said, basically, there will always be that a person critic, that a person troller, who just doesn’t get it.
But if the work you do matters – if your work is take on as well as important – you’ll do it anyway, he said.
It’s impossible to produce great work while likewise trying to please everyone. Unless you want your work to stay invisible.
And for that commenter with the sharp tongue, he wrote, or the visitor who doesn’t understand, all you have to state is, “It’s not for you.”
